Refueling the Revolution: The History of ASE Edge Utilizing their process engineering skills and embracing their entrepreneurial talent, founders Art Crivella and Wayne West created Advanced Systems Engineering (ASE Limited) in 1986. Crivella and West immediately tackled the task of redesigning some of the most complicated manufacturing systems in the world. Through this mission, they revolutionized the way companies do business in the field of steel, rubber, mining and manufacturing. Upon its inception, ASE Limited began improving processes for companies such as Corning, Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, Thomas Steel Strip Corporation, Knouse Foods Cooperative, Inco Alloys International, Inc., Voisey's Bay Nickel Company Limitedand the United States Marine Corps. As leaders in their field with a record of innovation and success, Crivella and West recognized that the process expertise they gained in an industrial setting had enormous potential when applied to information-based settings. With this vision, and the understanding of its value, our founders created ASE Edge, leveraging their knowledge of industrial systems engineering science for use in the professional service industries of law, insurance and medicine. From an ambitious idea came a will to put resources, passion and talent into these industries, reinforcing their stature as ground breakers -- creating ASE Edge in 2000. |
